23 Telangana citizens safely return from conflict zones; Govt assures continued support

Hyderabad, June 24 (UNI) The safe return of Telangana citizens from conflict-affected regions in the Middle East continues, with the total number of evacuees reaching 23 as of 1300 hours on June 23.
This evacuation effort is being closely monitored and coordinated by the Government of Telangana under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
According to officials at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, 17 new arrivals were recorded on June 23, including 5 from Masshad, Iran, 1 from Jordan (via Iran), 11 from Israel (in two groups of 7 and 4)
These are in addition to six students—four from Iran and two from Israel—who arrived earlier, bringing the total number of Telangana citizens returned to 23.
The Telangana Bhavan Helpdesk has been instrumental in facilitating their arrival, providing assistance such as airport reception, refreshments, and coordination for onward domestic travel. All returnees are making their travel arrangements to Hyderabad at their own expense.
Further arrivals are anticipated later today. The state government is maintaining active coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Embassies, especially regarding the evacuation of citizens from Israel, where air travel remains affected due to temporary airspace restrictions.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Telangana Government stated that the helpline at Telangana Bhavan remains operational around the clock to assist families and citizens in real-time, an official statement said on Tuesday.
