41 IAS, including 18 DMs, transferred in Bihar

Patna, May 31 (UNI) In a major administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government on Saturday transferred 41 IAS officers, including five Commissioners and 18 District Magistrates.
Besides the transfers, five senior IAS officers were also promoted to Secretary rank.
According to a notification issued by General Administration Department, 41 IAS officers were transferred and five of them are Divisional Commissioners, while eighteen are District Magistrates.
Mayank Barbare, Commissioner of Patna Division has been made Director of Bihar Education Project, while Saravanan M, Commissioner of Tirhut Division has been shifted to Rural Development Department as its Secretary.
Manish Kumar, Commissioner of Darbhanga Division has been made Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department, while Gopal Meena, Commissioner of Saran Division has been shifted to Revenue and Land Reforms Department as its Secretary.
Dinesh Kumar, Commissioner of Bhagalpur Division has been made Secretary of the Education Department.
Five senior IAS officers who were promoted to the rank of Secretary level are-- Rachna Patil, Animesh Kumar Prasher, N Iqbal, Meenendra Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
Amit Kumar Pandey, District Magistrate (DM) of Khagaria has been made Director of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), while Yashpal Meena, DM of Vaishali has been made Additional Secretary of Water Resources department.
Mukul Kumar Gupta, DM of Siwan has been made Director of Industries, while Anshul Agarwal, DM of Buxar has been shifted to Co-operative Societies department as its Director.
Vaibhav Chaudhary, DM of Saharsa has been made joint Secretary of Health department, while Abhilasha Sharma, DM of Jamui has been made Joint Secretary of Urban Development and Housing department.
Rajeev Raushan, DM of Darbhanga has been made Commissioner of Saran Division, while Kaushal Kishore, Director of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) has been made Commissioner of Darbhanga Division.
Avnish Kumar Singh, DM of Munger has been made Commissioner of Munger Division. Tyagrajan SM, DM of Gaya has been made DM of Patna.
Secretaries and Directors of several other departments were also shifted in the top level administrative reshuffle.
