Alcaraz, Lehecka set up final clash at Queen's club

London, June 22 (UNI) The top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz and Czech hopeful Jiri Lehecka both reached the men's singles final at the ATP 500 Queen's Club Championships here.
The world No. 2 Alcaraz from Spain was too good to be beaten by compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut as the 22-year-old sensation extended his longest winning streak in his career to 17 matches after outplaying the 37-year-old 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday.
"I'm feeling great. I'm just enjoying my time here," said the 2023 Queen's club champion. "So the confidence is pretty high right now."
The five-time Grand Slam champion is going to fight for the trophy against Lehecka as the 23-year-old world No. 30 saw off home favorite Jack Draper 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
Lehecka showed his great form in west London as he reached the semifinals by winning three matches in a row all in straight sets. He faced strong challenges from the world No. 6 Draper since the second set, but managed to keep his sharpness in crucial moments to seal the victory in two hours and seven minutes.
"It was painful for me that last year I wasn't able to play," said Lehecka, who missed the whole grass-court season last year due to a back injury. "So this year I came on grass even more motivated than before." "It's going to be a great challenge. He's going to be the favorite," Lehecka said while looking ahead to the final with Alcaraz on Sunday.
"So I will just try to stick to my game. Last time I played against him in Doha and I beat him. So I will just try to rethink that match."
