AP: Ex-CMO secy Dhanunjay Reddy, Ex-OSD Krishnamohan Reddy arrested

Vijayawada, May 16 (UNI) In a major development in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the liquor scam that took place during the previous YSRCP regime, arrested former Chief Minister Office Secretary K Danunjay Reddy and Officer on Special Duty Krishna Mohan Reddy here on Friday.

The SIT official questioned Danunjay Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy for three days and finally they were arrested today. Dhanunjay Reddy was a retired IAS officer and he held a significant position when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister from 2019-2024.

Danunjay Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy were Accused 31 and Accused 32 respectively in the liquor scam. The SIT officials arrested Bharati Cement company director Govindappa, who was Accused 33 in the case, on Tuesday in the liquor scam.
Danunjay Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy appealed for anticipatory bail in the Supreme Court but the Apex court dismissed their bail petition on Thursday. It may be mentioned here that ED registered a money laundering case to investigate the liquor scam in AP.
