AP: Police arrest 3 member inter-state gang, recover Rs 65 lakh worth jewellery

Kakinada, June 28 (UNI) The district police has arrested a three-member inter-state criminal gang and recovered Rs 65 lakh worth gold jewellery and silver articles from them.
Briefing the details of the arrest to media persons at the district police office here today, district SP Garikipati Bindu Madhav said all the three accused hail from various parts of erstwhile East Godavari district.
They had committed thefts in five districts and were wanted by the police in 19 theft cases.
The gold jewellery weighing 582 grams and silver articles weighing 12.5 kgs were recovered from them.
Special Crime detection teams were deployed to various places to nab them and the arrests were made yesterday, he said.
The accused are Bogada Sreenu (42), Madhavarayudupalem village, Kadiyam Mandal; Pasi Sekhar (23), Kutukuluru village, Anaparti Mandal and Pothamsetti Suryabhaskarar Reddy (24) also of Kutukuluru village.
The SP said the accused were being sent to remand.
