Arunachal CS reviews land acquisition for strategic infrastructure projects

Itanagar, June 21 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta on Saturday chaired a high-level review meeting on the implementation status of land acquisition for several strategic and infrastructure projects across the state.
Key projects came up for discussion included the Frontier Highway, hydropower projects, roads under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), railway expansion works, Indo-Myanmar Border Fencing and Approach Roads, and Border Outposts (BoPs) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Emphasizing the importance of such initiatives, the Chief Secretary noted that these projects are crucial for improving connectivity, reinforcing border infrastructure, and fostering inclusive development in the frontier regions of Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting focused on expediting execution, resolving on-ground challenges, and ensuring seamless coordination among all implementing agencies. A time-bound action plan was charted out to facilitate smooth progress and timely disbursal of compensation to affected stakeholders.
The review meeting was attended by all key stakeholders, including representatives from implementing agencies, and Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts who joined via video conferencing.
The Chief Secretary reiterated the state government’s commitment to fast-tracking infrastructure development, particularly in sensitive border areas, to bolster national security and uplift local communities.
