Atletico defender Le Normand unfazed by LA disturbances

Los Angeles, June 13 (UNI) Atletico Madrid's Spain international defender Robin Le Normand insisted he and his teammates were not worried by the ongoing disturbances in Los Angeles as they arrived in the city to open their Club World Cup campaign.
Atletico plays newly crowned European champion Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, but football isn't making the headlines in Los Angeles with the National Guard called onto some streets after protests against U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration policies.
"We are in the hotel, so it doesn't really affect us, and we are concentrating on the tournament," Le Normand told the press shortly after Atletico arrived in the USA.
The competition has been criticized as it will leave many players without much of a summer break, but Le Normand explained that although "everyone can see" the demands of the calendar, we are trying to work well and to recover."
"It's clear there isn't much time to rest, but that's part of the game. I like watching football, being in the ground and I want to enjoy my career," commented the defender.
"We all know PSG's quality and they have shown that this year, but we will compete against anyone, that's in our blood - we suffer, but we know how to suffer," he concluded.
