Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday invited all the delegates at the Bharat Summit to join hands to bring a change in the lives of people.
Participating in the plenary session held on the last day of two-day Bharat Summit here, Reddy appealed to all the delegates to share their experiences, knowledge and skills with the state government and become the “Telangana Rising” brand ambassadors.
All the delegates are requested to show the greatness of Telangana to the world, the CM said Telangana State is endowed with a rich history and a unique culture and traditions.
People of Telangana, which was part of united Andhra Pradesh, struggled for a separate state for many decades and students, trade unions, farmers and women actively participated and led the Telangana movement, he said.
Their struggle yielded results and a separate state of Telangana was formed, Reddy said.
Unfortunately, the Chief Minister said the aspirations of the people have not been fulfilled for the last 10 years under ( BRS government) in the separate Telangana state.
People gave a mandate to the Congress and the People’s Government is striving to fulfill the aspirations of all sections of the society including students, youth, farmers, women and the oppressed castes in particular, he said.
“Our Government’s policy is to generate more revenues and distribute the wealth to the poor”, Reddy said the government is transparent and proactive in introducing reforms.
Gig, App workers welfare policy will be introduced soon in the state, he informed.
The state government introduced the biggest welfare schemes in the history of India, the CM claimed and highlighted various schemes initiated by his government.
The People’s government accorded top priority to Education, Healthcare, and Employment opportunities, he said.
The state official delegation attended the investment conferences held in Davos, America, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore and more than Rs. 2.5 lakh crores of investment have been received to provide jobs to the youth in the private sector, Reddy said.
Women, farmers, and youth are the main partners in our government. Telangana is blessed with wonderful women entrepreneurs, he said.
Plans have been envisaged to free Hyderabad from pollution by reviving the Musi river, studied the development of rivers and riverbanks in many cities including the Hudson River in New York, Thames River in London, and Sumida in Tokyo, Reddy informed.
Musi will become a major tourist spot and the Musi rejuvenation project will also provide employment to thousands of people, the CM said.
The government launched many infra development projects to make Hyderabad a global city. It is developing a world-class city- the Future City on 30,000 acres, constructing a 370-km-long Regional Ring Road and expanding the Metro Rail, he said.
We are proud that Telangana became the first state to conduct a caste survey and also SC categorisation in India, Reddy said.
Telangana state is also the first government to recruit a third gender community in the traffic police department, the CM said.
The People’s government started a lot of welfare and development programs and there is still a lot to be done, he added.
