Patna, June 19 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday launched 618 vehicles, including 520 four- wheelers and 98 two-wheelers, for use of police department to improve its efficiency.
Kumar rolled out 618 vehicles for police department which would help in improving their efficiency. He inspected vehicles before flagging off, to know its functioning and use by the police department in discharging their responsibilities to check crimes and maintain law and order.
The Chief Minister said his government was committed to ensure safety of life and property of the people.
Maintaining law and order was on top priority of the government, he noted.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and DGP Binay Kumar were among others present on the occasion.
