New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) The BJP today expanded its list of election officials tasked with overseeing the upcoming institutional polls for state presidents and national assembly members.
“In continuation of the previous appointments for the election of state presidents and national council members, state election officers have now been appointed for Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, effective immediately,” the party said on social media platform X.
According to party’s poll national returning officer and MP P Laxman, Kiran Rijiju, Union Cabinet Minister, will supervise elections in Maharashtra while Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State, has been assigned to Uttarakhand. At the same time, Ravi Shankar Prasad, MP, will oversee the process in West Bengal.
These appointments aim to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the elections in their respective states, as per the BJP statement.
