BJP chief Nitin Nabin calls for ‘Mission Jharkhand’ ahead of 2029 polls

Ranchi, Oct 24 (UNI) BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday called upon party workers in Jharkhand to intensify organisational efforts and work towards bringing the party back to power in the state in the 2029 Assembly elections.
Addressing the party's state executive committee meeting in Ranchi, Nabin said the deliberations should be treated as a mission and the issues discussed should be taken to the people through the party's organisational network.
He stressed the need to infuse fresh energy into the organisation, strengthen coordination among workers and leaders, and maintain regular contact with the public.
Describing Jharkhand as his birthplace and a place where he had received much of his education, Nabin recalled the BJP's role in the creation of the state under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He urged party workers to build on the organisation's presence in the region and expand its support base.
Nabin also called for greater outreach to beneficiaries of Central government schemes, saying workers should communicate their benefits to people irrespective of their political affiliations.
Referring to tribal identity and pride, he mentioned tribal icon Birsa Munda and the observance of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on November 15. He also cited the election of Droupadi Murmu as India's first tribal President.
Highlighting the significance of healthcare support for poor families, Nabin referred to Ayushman Bharat, whose national launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place in Ranchi in September 2018.
Earlier, Nabin met district presidents and district in-charges to review the party organisation's functioning and identify areas requiring improvement, according to reports on the meeting.
The state executive meeting is part of the BJP's organisational efforts in Jharkhand ahead of the 2029 Assembly elections.
