BSP's Mayawati to lead tribute ceremony on Baba Saheb's Mahaparinirvan Diwas on Dec 6

Lucknow, Nov 5 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati, accepting the party's request, has announced that she will lead as the chief guest at a massive tribute ceremony to be held at the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal in Lucknow on December 6, the death anniversary of the revered Baba Saheb.
According to a statement issued by the BSP, Mayawati accepted the request at a major and crucial meeting of the BSP UP State Unit held in Lucknow on Thursday to prepare for the Assembly general elections. The meeting was greeted with thunderous applause and resounding slogans, and a pledge was taken to make it historic.
In the meeting, Mayawati, along with all senior and junior officials of the BSP UP State Unit, including the State and Mandal, and all 75 District Presidents, reviewed the progress of the tasks assigned to the BSP UP State Unit for the upcoming general elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, including preparations at the booth level, the selection of the best candidates, and the awareness of the power of their votes among the poor and other vulnerable sections of society.
She stated that the "caravan of self-respect and self-esteem of the Bahujan Samaj," the all-encompassing resolution of "Our Vote, Our Rule," can rapidly advance towards its goal by obtaining the master key to power, which is what everyone here is waiting for.
Mayawati stated that the lack of a fully reliable, free, and fair electoral system and responsible governance in the country has affected the political, social, and economic systems, leading to public outrage and a dire need for effective reform.
She stated that the distressed people of the country, especially those of Uttar Pradesh, need the support of the BSP.
