To honour those who lost their lives, a minute’s silence was observed before the start of play.
The customary Eden bell, which has been rung for several years before the start of a match,
was not done so on Saturday to pay tribute to the victims.
Present for the occasion were CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, CAB Secretary Naresh Ojha,
CAB Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty, CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, CAB Joint Secretary Debabrata Das along with other CAB officials and members.
Also present was former Australia cricketer Brad Haddin.
