Day temp appreciably above normal at isolated places over J&K

Pune, Apr 28 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, west Rajasthan.
Saurashtra and Kutch; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,
Kerala and Mahe. These were markedly below normal (- 5.1 or below) at a few places over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Telangana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at a few places over Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north interior Karnataka, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 46.1°C was reported at Barmer (west Rajasthan) over the country.
Hailstorm occurred at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka and south Interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Rajasthan, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa and Lakshadweep.

Maha: Father dies of heart attack while celebrating daughter's UPSC success
