Dr. Sarvagya Sharma sets world record in Maxillary Sinus Lift procedures

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Dr. Sarvagya Sharma, a surgeon associated with Saveetha Dental College & Hospitals, has achieved a world record for performing the highest number of maxillary sinus lift procedures during postgraduate training.
During his postgraduate programme at Saveetha Dental College & Hospitals, Dr. Sharma successfully completed 25 maxillary sinus lift procedures, according to information shared about his clinical work.
Dr. Sarvagya Sharma is the only postgraduate student in India to have simultaneously pursued an MDS in Periodontics along with fellow ship in Prosthodontics during the same period of postgraduate and achieve the world record also.
Alongside his clinical training, Dr. Sharma has focused his research on implant dentistry and implant-site augmentation. His research work received a grant from the Academy of Osseointegration, an international professional organisation in the field of implant dentistry.
His research was also selected for presentation at the Harvard Dental Implant Symposium, where he represented India in March 2026.
The achievement highlights Dr. Sharma's work across both clinical practice and research, particularly in the areas of implant dentistry, sinus augmentation and implant-site development.
