Drunken man kills nephew in MP’s Sagar

Sagar, June 20 (UNI) A drunken man allegedly killed his nephew by attacking him with an iron rod in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, police said today.



Police sources said the incident occurred last night in Chhirari village under Rahli police station area when Golu Prajapati (23), a resident of Chhirari, was having dinner at his home.



His maternal uncle, Bablu Prajapati, arrived in a drunken state and started abusing Golu, who asked him to stop.

Bablu left but returned later with an iron rod and attacked Golu while he was sleeping on a cot. Golu was severely injured and was taken to the community health centre in Rahli for treatment.



The doctors referred Golu to the medical college in Sagar due to the severity of his injuries, where he succumbed to his injuries late at night.



The police registered a case of murder against Bablu and arrested him. He was produced in court and sent to jail.
