E-Cabinet to give new momentum to good governance in Bihar: Samrat

Patna, Nov 4 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Wednesday that the implementation of the e-Cabinet system would give fresh momentum to good governance and digital administration in the state. It would make the Cabinet's decision-making process faster, simpler and more transparent while improving coordination among various departments and accelerating the execution of government work.
A meeting was held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to discuss the implementation and effective rollout of the e-Cabinet system.
Various aspects of making the state's Cabinet functioning modern, transparent, technology-driven and paperless were discussed in detail.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, Arvind Kumar Choudhary, gave a detailed presentation on the e-Cabinet system.
The Chief Minister said that e-Cabinet was an important initiative towards ensuring good governance. Under the system, all Cabinet-related files would be processed digitally, reducing the time required for file disposal and making government functioning more efficient and accountable.
He also emphasised the use of modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), in the e-Cabinet system. He said technology should be utilised to the maximum extent to simplify and streamline administrative processes.
Choudhary said that e-Cabinet was a significant step towards paperless governance. It would not only save time and resources but also contribute to environmental protection.
The state government is committed to making the administrative system more efficient, transparent and citizen-centric through the use of modern technology, he added.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the e-Cabinet system would prove to be a major milestone in strengthening good governance and digital administration in Bihar.
