Employment is a responsibility towards nation-building: Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 26 (UNI) Youth must see employment as a responsibility towards nation-building, Union Minister of State Kamlesh Paswan said while addressing the Rozgar Mela organised by the Income Tax Department here on Saturday.
He also urged the newly recruited candidates to view employment not merely as a job, but as a greater duty to the nation.
Highlighting the vision of a Viksit Bharat, Kamlesh Paswan reminded the youth that they are now part of the government structure and have a vital role in shaping the nation's future.
He emphasised that by 2047, India aims to become a developed nation, with the youth playing a pivotal role in realising this goal.
He also encouraged young people to actively participate in sports, noting its important role in overall development. “Sports instill discipline, foster a sense of responsibility, and help youth overcome life’s challenges,” the Minister said.
He called upon the youth to learn new skills and make the most of platforms like the Rozgar Mela, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering young Indians to find fulfilling opportunities within the country itself.
As part of the national Rozgar Mela initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted candidates across various Government departments and organisations through video conferencing.
Kamlesh Paswan handed over appointment letters to 25 new recruits during the event. P. Chandrasekhar, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, was also present on the occasion and congratulated the new recruits on joining public service.
The 15th edition of Rozgar Mela was held simultaneously at 47 locations across the country. The new recruits, selected from across India, have joined various Ministries and Departments including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Labour & Employment, among others.
