Rio De Janeiro, May 20 (UNI) Former Brazil international midfielder Renato Augusto has parted ways with Fluminense by mutual consent, the Rio de Janeiro club said on Monday.
Fluminense did not give reasons for the 37-year-old's departure in a brief statement on social media.
"Fluminense thanks the player for his contribution during the time he was at the club and wishes him success," the statement read.
Renato, whose contract was due to expire in December, made 36 appearances across all competitions for Fluminense following his January 2024 move from Corinthians.
His 20-year professional career has also included spells at Flamengo, Bayer Leverkusen and Beijing Guoan.
The playmaker was capped 33 times for his country and was a part of the Brazil squad that reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. UNI XC AKT SSP
