Four drug suppliers arrested in Meghalaya

Shillong, June 10 (UNI) Four drug suppliers, including two women, were arrested with 691.54 grams of heroin by sleuths of the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) here in Meghalaya, qn official said on Tuesday.
Based on intelligence inputs, ANTF sleuths On Monday night raided the house of Thangboi Khaute and recovered 62 soap box filled with heroin.
“A team was despatched to Lapalang on received of source information that a drug peddler Jeremy Dkhar was going to buy drugs from drug supplier Lamtinkhup Vaiphei of Lapalang,” Jagpal Singh Dhanoa, the ANTF Chief said.
On reaching Nongrah, he said the ANTF team spotted Jeremy loitering around at Dong Nongpdeng Nongrah and immediately detained and subsequently led the team to the house of one Thangboi Khaute staying next to his house where he had concealed the contraband .
During the search inside Khaute’s house, Dhanoa said, 62 soap box stashed with heroin was recovered and arrested the four drug suppliers.
A case has been registered at the ANTF police station vide case no 4(06)2025 under section 21(c)/25/27/29 of NDPS Act.
