Four new bridges to be built in Gaya, West Champaran: Samrat

Patna, Jun 21 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said on Saturday that four new high level RCC bridges would be constructed in Gaya and West Champaran districts at an expenditure of Rs 88.72 crore.
Chaudhary added that a proposal for this has been approved and the bridges would be constructed under NABARD assisted state scheme.
Choudhary said that construction of bridges over rivers will facilitate transportation in rural areas, increase connectivity and save people's time who will have easy access to health and education.
He informed that a high level RCC bridge was proposed to be constructed between Pakri Gudhiya and Chaubar Road on Morhar River in Imamganj block of Gaya district at an estimated cost of Rs 2089.801 lakhs, and on Morhar River in Banke Bazar block of the same district between Nawadih to Phulwaria Road near Juri Nawadih village at an expenditure of Rs 2107.933 lakhs.
Similarly a high level RCC bridge would be constructed between PMGSY Path (L042) Gonauli to Gorara Road on Manar River in Bagaha block of West Champaran district, at a cost of Rs 2965.940 lakh. Another high level RCC bridge will be constructed near Jawaharpur Ghat on the Sikharna River in the Lauriya block of the same district at an expenditure of Rs 1708.940 lakh.
Choudhary said that the Bihar government was committed to expand basic facilities in rural, urban and sub-urban areas. He said that the construction of these bridges will not only strengthen the infrastructure but will also open the doors of development in remote areas of the state.

The ‘Yoga Sangam’ drew 65 participants, including senior GSI officials, staff, and local residents, who performed Yoga against the backdrop of million-year-old limestone formations, fossil-rich walls, and the murmurs of cave stream with light rain and fog adding a mystical quality to the early morning practice.
