Grand Alliance to form a coordination committee with Tejaswi as its President

Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) The Grand Alliance ( GA) decided to constitute a coordination committee with the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, as its President for unity among the constituent units of the GA ahead of state assembly elections due in October-November this year.
During a meeting of the GA held here at the RJD office on Thursday, the alliance partners agreed on a common minimum programme and for strengthening the unity of the constituent units.
Besides Yadav, the meeting was attended by Sanjay Yadav and Abdul Bari Siddiqui of RJD, Bihar, in-charge Krishna Allavaru from Congress, State Congress President Rajesh Ram, K.D. Yadav from Communist Party of India (CPI), Ajay Kumar from Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M), State Secretary Kunal from Communist Party of India Marxist-Leninist (CPI-ML), and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) President Mukesh Sahni.
In a joint press conference after the meeting, Yadav said that there was no rule of law in Bihar where the law and order situation has deteriorated. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not the only one to be blamed for this, he said adding that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who visit Bihar repeatedly, should answer this.
Even after being the Home Minister Shah was not speaking on the real issues, he alleged and blamed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for betraying Bihar during the past 11 years.
Trusting PM Modi people from Bihar gave maximum MPs from the state, Yadav said adding that there are 12 ministers in the Union Cabinet from Bihar but none of them can tell about their single achievement.
Yadav said that Bihar was at the last leg in terms of per capita income and the farmers income even after the double engine government was ruling for the past 20 years.
Yadav said that leaders and partners of GA agreed to raise their voice in public against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's failure. He said that the issues of Bihar, including migration, poverty, unemployment, women, and Dalit issues, were discussed during the meeting.
Congress Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, speaking about the coordination committee said that it will have 13 members led by Tejaswi Prasad Yadav. He said that two members would be included in the coordination committee from each of the constituent units of the grand alliance.
All decisions regarding Bihar elections would be taken by the committee, he informed.
Allavaru said that the alliance partners agreed on several issues and came to a conclusion for having a campaign strategy, common minimum programme, common manifesto, coordination among the alliance partners right from the block up to the state level, and to stop malpractices in the voters' list.
