Gurugram police enforce one-way traffic on two key roads, warn of action against violators

Gurugram, Nov 5 (UNI) Gurugram Traffic Police have issued an advisory restricting vehicular movement to one direction on two key roads in the city, warning motorists of legal action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, for driving against the designated traffic flow.
According to the advisory, the stretch from Z Chowk, opposite HUDA City Centre, towards 42/27 Chowk has been designated as a one-way road. Vehicles will be permitted to travel only from Z Chowk towards 42/27 Chowk, while movement in the opposite direction will remain prohibited.
Similarly, the road connecting MLA Flats traffic signal to Galleria Market T-Point, via Galleria Market, has also been designated as one-way.
Motorists will be allowed to travel from the MLA Flats traffic signal towards Galleria Market T-Point, but vehicles coming from the opposite direction will not be permitted.
The traffic police have asked motorists to strictly follow the designated routes and avoid driving on the wrong side, warning that violations would attract action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
"If any motorist is found driving in the wrong direction on the designated one-way roads, legal action will be taken against the violator under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988," the advisory stated.
Police said motorists should familiarise themselves with the traffic arrangements before entering the restricted stretches to avoid violations and inconvenience.
The advisory urged all road users to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow the prescribed directions to ensure safe vehicular movement.
"Your safety is our priority," Gurugram Traffic Police said, appealing to residents and commuters to comply with traffic regulations.
