Haryana authorities demolish unauthorised farmhouse colony in Panchkula

Panchkula, Sep 30 (UNI) Haryana authorities on Wednesday demolished an internal road network and boundary walls of an alleged unauthorised farmhouse colony being developed in Bansghati village, Panchkula, as part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal construction in the urban area.
A team from the District Town Planner (DTP) office, led by DTP Babita Gupta, carried out the demolition drive on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, officials said.
JCB machines were deployed during the operation to remove the unpaved internal roads and boundary walls constructed as part of the alleged farmhouse colony.
The drive was conducted in the presence of Duty Magistrate and Assistant Town Planner Dimpy Rathi, Assistant Town Planner Ashok Kumar, Field Inspector Mohit Sharma and a police contingent.
Gupta said prior permission from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, is mandatory before undertaking regulated development or developing a colony.
“Strict legal action will be taken in accordance with the rules against anyone found carrying out unauthorised construction or developing a colony without the requisite permission,” she said.
The DTP also cautioned members of the public against investing in or developing unauthorised colonies without first obtaining the required Change of Land Use (CLU) permission or a licence from the Town and Country Planning Department.
Officials said enforcement action against unauthorised development in Panchkula would continue in accordance with the applicable rules.UNI KK AAB
