Haryana cuts approval layer for Divisional Commissioners’ leave, tours

Panchkula, Sep 17 (UNI) Haryana has cut a layer of government approval for casual leave and tour programmes of Divisional Commissioners, authorising the Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management, to clear such cases without sending them to the Chief Secretary.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi issued the revised instructions to all Divisional Commissioners, amending the procedure in force since November 2017.
Under the earlier instructions, applications for sanction of Casual Leave or approval of tour programmes of Divisional Commissioners has to be routed through the Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, for approval of the Chief Secretary.
The government has now dispensed with that requirement.
The fresh order says the Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, being the Administrative Secretary for Divisional Commissioners, is competent to sanction or approve their casual leave and tour programmes at his own level.
