Bengaluru, May 25 (UNI) Australian pace spearhead Josh Hazlewood has rejoined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru squad, injecting fresh energy and optimism ahead of their high-stakes IPL clash against the Lucknow Super Giants.
With the tournament entering its decisive phase, RCB are eyeing a top-two finish on the points table to secure a crucial advantage in the playoffs.
The seasoned right-arm pacer, known for his accuracy and bounce, has been a key figure in Bengaluru’s bowling arsenal this season. With his return, fans have reason to smile as the team looks to tighten its grip on the tournament’s business end.
"And we got Josh Hazlewood. I think all of Bengaluru should be smiling with that option because we have seen what he can do, and here we have him," RCB Batting Coach Dinesh Karthik said in a video released on the franchise's X handle.
Hazlewood’s inclusion is expected to provide stability to the bowling lineup, which has at times struggled in the death overs. The Australian quick has 18 IPL wickets this season and was instrumental in Bengaluru’s playoff push last season. UNI BDN SSP
