Himachal CM hands over land allotment certificates to 89 Pong Dam oustees

Dharamshala, June 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, addressing a public meeting in Haripur (Dehra constituency), handed over land allotment certificates to 89 Pong Dam oustees and assured that the remaining families would be allotted land soon, along with Rs 3 lakh for home construction.
He criticised the previous BJP government and highlighted the development initiatives under the Congress-led administration. He announced that Haripur Community Health Centre would be upgraded to an 'Adarsh Swasthya Sansthan' with Rs 2 crore for doctors' housing.
The CM also noted ongoing projects like the Rs 619 crore international-level zoo in Bankhandi, expansion of Kangra airport, and relocation of government offices from Shimla to Kangra to reduce congestion.
He said GST had caused financial losses to the state and blamed the BJP for mismanaging state assets, including attempts to undervalue land for a medical device park in Nalagarh.
Local MLA Kamlesh Thakur thanked the government for several development projects, including roads, tourism, and water schemes.
Other leaders, including former MP Viplove Thakur, praised CM Sukhu’s leadership.
