Hyd: Notorious burglar with over 100 cases arrested

Hyderabad, June 26 (UNI) A 51-year-old painter from Falaknuma who has been committing burglaries for more than three decades and is involved in more than 100 cases, was arrested by the Bandlaguda police here today.
A diehard fan of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, the burglar identified as Mohd Saleem alias Sunil Shetty, had earlier been arrested at least 25 times, police said here.
Police seized 35 gm of gold ornaments from the notorious burglar.
Recently released from prison in May, he went on to burglarize two houses in the last one month.
Saleem identifies locked houses and enters them through the open ventilators and commits burglary without damaging doors and windows, according to A Sudhakar, ACP, Chandrayangutta division.
With the stolen property, Saleem would lead a lavish life and visit tourist places and even enjoy sightseeing on tourist helicopters, the ACP added.
Saleem was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
