India, Switzerland deepen partnership with pact on mobility, young professionals, transport technology and research

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) India and Switzerland on Monday unveiled a package of five agreements and an additional research initiative to deepen bilateral cooperation in migration and mobility, employment opportunities for young professionals, transportation technologies, scientific research and entrepreneurship during Swiss Confederation President Guy Parmelin’s state visit to India.
The outcomes seek to expand the India-Switzerland partnership beyond its traditional economic and commercial foundations by establishing new institutional mechanisms for people-to-people mobility, professional exchanges, technology cooperation, scientific research and support for emerging enterprises.
A key outcome is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Migration and Mobility Partnership (MMP), aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries on migration and mobility while ensuring equal treatment in accordance with their respective national laws.
