Iran condemns US actions in Yemen - Foreign Minister

Tehran, Apr 18 (UNI) Iran condemns the military activities conducted by the United States in Yemen, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday.
Araghchi is currently visiting Moscow, where he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier in the day.
"We also had a conversation on the topic of Yemen. Those events that are taking place in Yemen that have relation to the United States, we condemn these actions of the Americans. We hope that the crimes against the Yemeni people will be stopped," Araghchi told a joint press conference.
Since March 15, the US has conducted over 900 airstrikes on northern and central Yemeni regions, including the capital of Sanaa, controlled by the rebel Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis. US President Donald Trump ordered the military action against the Houthis after they renewed attacks on Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea in response to the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
