J&K Sub Jr women hockey team flagged off for national event

Jammu, June 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Sub Junior women hockey team was on Sunday flagged off for participation in the national event which is to be held in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

As per the official communiqué, the Hockey Jammu and Kashmir Sub-Junior Women’s Team departed today from here to participate in the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National, scheduled to be held from July 3 to 14 in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The team was finalised after the screening conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council under the supervision of Ajay Gupta (Manager, K K Hakku Stadium), along with Joginder Kumar and Jagjeet Singh (Hockey coaches) Anjali Thakur (Khelo India Hockey Mentor), from the J&K Sports Council, alongside Tejinder Singh (Secretary, Hockey J&K), Robin Singh (Executive Member, Hockey J&K), Charanjit Singh (Former Coach, J&K Police Hockey Team).

The team consists of 18 players comprising Divya Sharma (Goalkeeper), Rajanyaveer Kour Panday (Goalkeeper), Simran, Saloni, Arzoo Koser, Asma Shaheen, Haiqa Banday, Vanshika Devi, Prachi, Maniksha Devi, Shivani Kumari, Simranjot Kour, Akshra Dutta, Nazia Koser, Anish Khursheed, Akshita Gupta, Lakshita Devi, and Maryam Farooq.

Sahil Sharma accompanied as Coach and Geeta Kumari as Manager.

The team was flagged off by Amarjeet Singh Nagyal (Vice-President, Hockey J&K), Jasvinder Kour (Vice-President, Hockey J&K), Robin Singh (Executive Member, Hockey J&K).
