Bengaluru, Apr 9 (UNI) In a sharp attack on the Congress government, JD(S) spokesperson Nikhil Kumaraswamy on Wednesday warned of an impending economic tsunami in Karnataka and said that the state has been branded the most corrupt in the country by none other than Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s own economic advisor, Basavaraj Rayareddy.
Addressing reporters here, Nikhil said such a serious indictment from a senior figure within the government exposed deep-rooted administrative rot. "When the CM's own advisor says Karnataka ranks number one in corruption, it is not just an allegation, it is a wakeup call. The people of Karnataka must take this warning seriously," he asserted.
He further accused the Congress government of pushing the state into financial distress through policy failures and unfulfilled promises. "The so-called 'five guarantees' have not only remained undelivered but have also derailed developmental work across the state, particularly in Bengaluru," he said.
