KCL: Alleppey Ripples retains Captain Muhammed Azharuddeen & IPL star Vignesh Puthur

Thiruvananthapuram, July 1 (UNI) As the much-awaited Kerala Cricket League (KCL) is all set to return for the second season, Alleppey Ripples has announced the retained list of 4 players for the tournament.
Ripples has decided to continue with their captain Muhammed Azharuddeen and also retained the young Vignesh Puthur who gained much attention after his IPL debut.
Southpaw all-rounder Akshay Chandran and Akshay TK are the other two players retained by Alleppey Ripples.
Muhammed Azharuddeen, the skipper of the team in the previous season is much known for his spirited leadership and played an important role in Kerala’s entry to the Ranji Trophy finals with key contributions.
The left-arm Chinaman sensation Vignesh Puthur, had recently made his mark on the global stage with a great debut for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
The dependable southpaw all-rounder Akshay Chandran and consistent player Akshay TK have also proved their mettle and continue to be in form in domestic cricket.
Alleppey Ripples are gearing up for the Season 2 of KCL once again with its motto to play entertaining cricket stating “Thuzhayilla Thookkiadi mathram”.
“We are not just building teams—we are building legacy. This season, we’re doubling down on
good talent and celebrating the pride of Kerala on and off the field.” said a Alleppey Ripples spokesperson.
The player auction for the second season of KCL will be held on the 5th of this month. The tournament will be held from August 21 to September 7 at the Greenfield International Stadium, Trivandrum and will be telecasted live on Asianet Plus, Star Sports Channel 3 and Fancode.
