Kerala Raj Bhavan courts controversy

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 5 (UNI) The Environment Day programme held at Kerala Raj Bhavan courted controversy after State Agricultural Minister P Prasad allegedly boycotted the event, alleging that a portrait of Bharat Mata was kept at the venue on Thursday.
The CPI Minister alleged that the picture displayed at Raj Bhavan was the same used by RSS in its programmes.
Though the Raj Bhavan made all arrangements for the programme, the Minister skipped the event. Later, the Raj Bhavan observed the Environment Day with the participation of its staff. Meanwhile, the Government conducted its programme at the Darbar Hall in the Government Secretariat.
Responding to the issue, various political parties, including Congress and CPI(M) alleged that Raj Bhavan is being misused as a place for implementing hidden agendas of the BJP and RSS.
