Kharge, Rahul express grief over factory blast in Telangana

New Delhi, June 30 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabja Rahul Gandhi today expressed anguish over the loss of lives in a factory blast in Sangareddy district in Telangana.



In a post on X, Kharge said, “Extremely anguished by the loss of precious lives, following a chemical factory blast in Sangareddy district in Telangana. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the bereaved. My thoughts and prayers are with the injured. We wish them a speedy recovery”.



Acknowledging the swift response of the state government and local authorities, highlighting their ongoing efforts in rescue and relief operations, Kharge said, “The State Govt and authorities are working at a war footing in their rescue efforts and providing immediate medical and other assistance to the injured”.



Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi in a post on X said, “The news of the explosion at the chemical factory in Telangana is extremely tragic and concerning. My deepest condolences go out to those who have lost their loved ones in this incident. I wish a speedy recovery to all the injured”.



“The state government and administration are fully engaged in rescue and relief operations. Efforts are ongoing to provide every possible assistance to the affected people. During this difficult time, we stand with the grieving families in every possible way.” The Raebareli MP said.



As many as six people were killed and 20 others injured, some of them critically, following an explosion in a chemical reactor at a factory in the Pashamylaram industrial area of Sangareddy district in Telangana.
