New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) KL Rahul produced a masterclass with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 112 off 65 balls to power Delhi Capitals to a commanding total against Gujarat Titans in Match 60 of the IPL 2025 on Sunday. His innings was laced with records and milestones, reaffirming his status as one of India's premier T20 batters.
With this knock, Rahul notched up his seventh T20 century, just behind Rohit Sharma (8) and Virat Kohli (9) among Indians. In the IPL, it was his fifth century, placing him fourth on the all-time list behind Kohli (8), Jos Buttler (7) and Chris Gayle (6).
Notably, this was also the first century by a right-handed batsman in the ongoing IPL season.
Rahul paced his innings with precision — beginning steadily with 25 off the first 20 balls, before accelerating sharply to amass 87 runs off the next 45 balls at a strike rate of nearly 193.
Against pace, Rahul scored 77 off 43 balls (SR: 179.06), including nine fours and four sixes, while against spin he added 35 off 22 (SR: 159.09) with five boundaries.
His 65-ball stay was the longest individual innings of this IPL season, and his 112 not out is now the highest score against Gujarat Titans in the tournament’s history, eclipsing Suryakumar Yadav’s 103* at Wankhede in 2023.
