Nashik, May 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue Minister and state BJP president, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, said on Saturday that the local bodies elections in the state will be held at end of the monsoon season.
Addressing a press conference here after a review meeting, he announced that the Mahayuti will contest these elections as a grand alliance and expressed that the grand alliance will win everywhere like in the assembly elections.
He further said, “No one can postpone these elections now. Once the monsoon season is over, the election campaigning will start, and all elections will be held. The same struggle as seen in the assembly election will be seen in the municipal and district council elections. We will contest all these elections as a grand alliance. Also, in all the elections, the mayor and district council president of the grand alliance will be elected.”
"Similarly, the Mayor of Mumbai will be from the Mahayuti," he expressed.
Talking about the Guardian Minister of Nashik, the Minister said that a decision on the District Guardian Minister will be taken soon.
He informed that discussions in this regard are underway between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar and the discussions are in the final stages and a proper decision will be taken regarding it soon.
When asked about the probable alliance between the Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) and the MNS, Bawankule said that they are profound leaders and will take the right decision.
"I have no right to speak on it,” he said.
While speaking about the Vaishnavi Hagawane suicide case in Pune, Bawankule termed the incident as serious and said that the government has taken a serious note of this.

On the losses suffered by farmers due to unseasonal rains, the minister replied that a decision on compensation to the farmers will be taken soon.
"A considerable number of 'panchnamas' have been done and they will also be completed soon," Bawankule added.
