Maha: Guv to present Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Awards on Apr 18 in Pune

Mumbai, Apr 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Dattatray Bharne, on Thursday informed that Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Awards for the years 2022-23 and 2023-24 will be presented by Governor C P Radhakrishnan at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on April 18.
In a media statement, Bharne informed that senior sports personalities who have made outstanding
achievements in the field of sports are awarded Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Lifetime Achievement Award, Excellent Sports Guide, Jijamata Award (for women sports guides) and Shiv Chhatrapati State Awards-Sportsmen, Divyang Sportsmen and Courageous Awards will be presented.
The awards ceremony will held in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar,
The Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Awards distribution ceremony has been organised by the School Education and Sports Department.
The ceremony will be attended by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council, Dr Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Anna Bansode, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil, Minister of State Madhuri Misal among others, he added.
