Maha: OBC leader expresses his opposition to Ajit Pawar as CM

Jalna, May 4 (UNI) OBC leader Navnath Waghmare on Sunday expressed his opposition to Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) president Ajit Pawar becoming a chief minister of Maharashtra, saying that he was ready to accept Sanjay Shirsat as the next chief minister of the state rather than Ajit Pawar.
He was reacting to Ajit Pawar's remark during a programme at the Maharashtra Mahotsav two days ago, where he expressed his desire to become the state’s CM.
Waghmare said that Sanjay Shirsat, Atul Save, Chhagan Bhujbal, Pankaja Munde will be able to become chief minister but not Ajit Pawar.
Speaking further, he wondered whether Ajit Pawar wants to become chief minister to spread casteism in the state and alleged that Ajit Pawar did not give funds to the OBC Corporation and closed all the schemes.
He is also thinking of closing even small and big schemes which feed the poor, he added.
