Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) The opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday criticised the BJP-led Mahayuti government over not fulfilling its electoral promise of increasing installment of its much touted Ladki Bahin scheme.
Sharing a video on social media, the Sena-UBT said that during the state assembly electioneering, the Mahayuti had publicly announced to increase amount of installment given under the Ladki Bahin Yojana.
The Mahayuti leaders had promised to give Rs 2,100 per month to the women beneficiaries of Ladki Bahin after coming to power.
This promise was also mentioned in their manifesto, however, despite coming to power again, the Mahayuti government has not taken a decision on giving Rs 2,100 per month to the Ladki Bahin beneficiaries, it noted.
Taking a dig at the Mahayuti by sharing a video of minister Narhari Jirwal, who had claimed that no one had said that they would give Rs 2,100 and women beneficiaries were happy with Rs 1,500, and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announcing Rs 2,100 for the beneficiaries, the Thackeray group said that this is not a Mahayuti but a 'Mahalabad' alliance.
