Sangareddy (Telangana), May 6 (UNI) A man allegedly killed his two children before committing suicide by hanging at Malkapur Adarsh Colony in Kondapur Mandal of Sangareddy district, police said.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Baikadi Subhas (45), his son Aryan (13), and daughter Aradhya (5). The family had been living in a rented house in the area. Subhas’s wife, Manjula, had reportedly left for her maternal home a week ago following domestic disputes.
Distressed by the separation, Subhas allegedly strangled his children to death before hanging himself from the ceiling.
Though the incident occurred three days ago, it came to light on Monday after neighbours detected a foul smell from the house. Upon breaking open the door, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Subhas and his children and immediately alerted the police.
A suicide note, believed to have been written by Subhas, was recovered from the scene.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, police added.
