Mastantuono dazzles as River sinks Boca in Argentina's Primera Division

Buenos Aires, Apr 28 (UNI) Teenage prodigy Franco Mastantuono scored with a superb free-kick as River Plate secured a 2-1 home win over rival Boca Juniors in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament.
Mastantuono, 17, struck for the second time in as many matches with a fizzing 30-yard effort from a set piece that left goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin with no chance on Sunday.
The visitors equalized through Miguel Merentiel, who ran onto Lautaro Blanco's lofted through ball before calmly slotting his shot into the far corner.
River restored its lead when Sebastian Driussi poked home from close range after his initial header was kept out by Marchesin.
The result leaves River with 28 points, four behind Group B leader Rosario Central, while Boca remains top of Group A with 32 points.
In other Argentine Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Aldosivi won 2-1 at home to Banfield,
Rosario Central prevailed 1-0 at San Lorenzo and Belgrano was held to a 1-1 home draw by Argentinos Juniors.
