Montra Electric unveils SUPER CARGO e-3W in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jun 11 (UNI) Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the Murugappa Group has unveiled its new electric three-wheeler *SUPER CARGO* in Bengaluru, marking a significant push into the last-mile cargo mobility segment.
Equipped with an industry-leading 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, SUPER CARGO boasts a certified range of over 200 km and a real-world range of 170 km on a single charge. With prices starting at Rs 4.37 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru, post-subsidy), the vehicle also offers a best-in-class battery warranty of five years or 1.75 lakh km.
Launched by Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director, TI Clean Mobility Private Limited on Tuesday, the event was attended by senior company officials including Roy Kurian, Business Head – Last Mile Mobility, and Saju Nair, CEO – Small Commercial Vehicles.
“The addition of SUPER CARGO marks an exciting new chapter of growth for us in the last-mile delivery space,” said Gupta. “As a Tru-EV brand, we aim not only to deliver cutting-edge vehicles but also to enable a cleaner, more efficient future for Indian mobility.”
The vehicle comes in three versatile configurations—170 cu.ft, 140 cu.ft, and tray deck—suited for diverse delivery needs. Built on a robust Boron Steel chassis, SUPER CARGO features a 1.2-tonne GVW, 70 Nm torque, and a powerful drivetrain that delivers peak power of 11 kW and gradeability of 23%, enabling ease of use across terrains.
A standout feature is the optional 15-minute 100% charging capability, powered by Exponent Energy. Speaking on the collaboration, Exponent Co-Founder Arun Vinayak said, “Our fast-charging solution is designed to maximise asset utilisation. This partnership with Montra Electric will amplify clean mobility adoption at scale.”
Montra has also integrated safety and comfort elements including front disc brakes, hill hold function, reverse assist, regenerative braking, and a spacious cabin with the longest wheelbase in its class.
Kurian noted that the product was developed with “deep customer insights,” emphasising its appeal for both individual entrepreneurs and B2B fleet operators.
“With our growing dealer network, we are ready to ensure unmatched uptime support across the country,” he added.
The SUPER CARGO is now available for bookings across over 90 cities and is offered in four colours: Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown. Variants with the 15-minute quick charge include Tray eQX and 170 cu.ft eQX d+.
