Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) A security guard posted at the Mumbai residential tower in the Parel area of south Mumbai was arrested by the police for allegedly molesting three minor girls, officials said here on Thursday.
The incidents took place on June 11, when the security guard of the building reportedly molested the 11-year-old girls in the society. Later it came to be known that the accused is a habitual offender and he had molested three more minor girls in the past.
A complaint in this regard was made at the Bhoiwada police, which arrested the accused this morning.
An official investigation is currently in progress to gather more details and evidence surrounding the case.
The police have registered the matter under various legal provisions, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and several relevant sections.
