BEML Q4 net profit rises 12 pc to Rs 288 crore

Bengaluru, May 23 (UNI) BEML Limited, a Defence Ministry PSU, on Friday reported a 12 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 288 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, on the back of improved operational performance, even as it posted its highest-ever annual profit despite a marginal dip in yearly revenue.
The company's Q4 revenue from operations rose 6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,653 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) climbed 14 per cent to Rs 395 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter stood at Rs 427 crore, registering a 14 per cent increase over Rs 375 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY24.
For the full fiscal year FY25, BEML posted a record net profit of Rs 294 crore, up 4 per cent from Rs 283 crore in the previous year. Annual PBT increased by 6 per cent to Rs 405 crore, and EBITDA grew 9 per cent to Rs 531 crore. However, total revenue declined marginally to Rs 4,022 crore from Rs 4,054 crore in FY24. The company’s EBITDA margin improved to 13.20 per cent from 11.98 per cent, signalling enhanced operational efficiency.
“Our strong FY25 performance reflects BEML’s focus on operational excellence, innovation, and nation-building,” said the company’s Chairman and Managing Director. He added that BEML had acquired land in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for setting up new manufacturing units in Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction equipment to boost capacity and contribute to India’s self-reliance.
The company is now expanding into key areas such as defence, metro rail, aerospace, and electric mining equipment, with plans closely aligned to the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
With a healthy order book, growing global interest, and continued focus on innovation and sustainability, BEML said it is well-positioned to sustain its growth momentum and deliver long-term value to stakeholders.
