Swiggy launches 24x7 helpline, in-app channel for food safety complaints

Hyderabad, Sept 15 (UNI) Swiggy on Tuesday launched a dedicated 24x7 helpline and an in-app channel to enable customers to report food safety-related concerns with their orders.
Customers can call 7948231850 to register complaints with customer care agents. The company has also introduced a dedicated ‘Food Safety’ option in the Help section of its app, the company said in a release.
Customers using the in-app option can submit their concerns through a message and upload photographs related to the complaint.
A ticket number will be generated to enable them to track the complaint.
Customers calling the dedicated helpline will receive a link on their registered mobile number to submit additional information and photographs, the company said.
Swiggy's Food Safety Assurance Team will review complaints received through both channels on priority and take necessary action, it said.
Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said the additional channels would help strengthen the company's mechanisms for receiving and addressing customer concerns related to food safety.
The company said the new channels would also help identify recurring complaints and patterns, facilitate engagement with restaurant partners and strengthen preventive measures across the platform.
Swiggy said it continues to work with restaurant partners to encourage the use of quality ingredients and ensure that menu descriptions accurately reflect the food being offered.
The company also periodically educates restaurant partners on hygienic practices and food safety standards, it added.
