OPPO targets premium smartphone segment with F35 Series, builds on 30 million sales milestone

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) Smartphone maker OPPO is looking to strengthen its presence in India's mid-premium smartphone segment with the launch of its F35 series here on Tuesday, leveraging a decade-old product franchise that has sold more than 30 million units in the country.
The newly launched OPPO F35 Pro 5G and OPPO F35 5G are priced between Rs. 38,999 and Rs. 54,999, placing the series in a segment where manufacturers are seeking to attract consumers through advanced camera capabilities, battery performance and durability features, the company said on the occasion here.
The launch marks 10 years of OPPO's F Series in India, which has evolved from a selfie-focused smartphone line into a portfolio aimed at consumers who use their devices for group photography, video creation and digital content sharing.
The F35 series features a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera with a 100-degree field of view. The Pro variant also offers optical image stabilisation, 4K video recording through both front and rear cameras, and AI-powered imaging features.
Both models come with an 8,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
OPPO is offering the F35 Pro 5G in three storage configurations, priced at Rs. 45,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB and 128GB variant, and Rs. 54,999 for the 8GB and 256GB variant.
The F35 5G is priced at Rs. 38,999 for the 6GB and 128GB model and Rs. 42,999 for the 8GB and 128GB version.
The devices are available through retail outlets, the OPPO India online store, Flipkart and Amazon.
The company is also offering promotional benefits, including up to 10 per cent instant cashback, no-cost EMI and exchange bonuses, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The launch comes amid OPPO's reported growth in the Indian smartphone market.
According to figures attributed to IDC in the company's announcement, OPPO recorded 22 per cent year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2026, while its market share increased to 15.3 per cent from 12 per cent a year earlier.
The company also cited separate market data placing it third in India with a 13.8 per cent share, highlighting the competitive nature of the market and the importance of segment-specific growth.
The figures refer to different reported market-share estimates and require verification before direct comparison.
Alongside product expansion, OPPO is investing in its after-sales network to support customer retention and brand positioning.
In Telangana, the company operates 20 exclusive service centres, while its nationwide network comprises more than 620 service centres across over 500 cities.
OPPO said it had more than 60 premium Service Center 3.0 Pro facilities operational in India and planned to establish over 150 additional centres under the format in 2026.
The facilities are designed to improve customer experience through digital check-in, real-time queue updates and streamlined service processes.
With the new series, OPPO is combining its established F Series franchise with higher-priced device offerings, retail distribution and service infrastructure as it seeks to consolidate its position in India's competitive smartphone market.
