Raymond steps up Andhra Pradesh expansion with additional manufacturing capacity

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Raymond Limited is accelerating its manufacturing expansion in Andhra Pradesh through an additional brownfield facility near its existing mega manufacturing unit, seeking to meet rising customer demand in the current financial year while advancing a larger greenfield project for long-term growth.
The additional facility, being set up by a subsidiary of the company, is intended to provide interim capacity to accommodate incremental orders and volumes.
The move reflects Raymond’s strategy of adding production capacity in phases to capture near-term business opportunities while maintaining capital and execution discipline.
The brownfield expansion will complement the company’s planned greenfield manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, which is progressing as scheduled and is envisaged as a larger production platform to support its medium- and long-term growth plans, the company said in a release on Monday.
“The accelerated expansion in Andhra Pradesh reflects the strong momentum we are seeing in the business. While our greenfield project remains the foundation for our longer-term growth, the additional brownfield capacity will allow us to respond faster to current customer requirements,” said Sanjeev Sharma, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JKMPTL, Raymond Group.
The company is pursuing a two-stage capacity expansion strategy, with the brownfield facility addressing immediate demand requirements and the greenfield project providing scalable infrastructure for future growth.
The expansion is expected to strengthen Raymond’s manufacturing capabilities and position it to pursue opportunities in domestic and international markets.
The company has not disclosed the investment outlay or additional production capacity associated with the brownfield facility.
