TRANSCO prepares transmission plan for next 5 years with Rs 18,354 crore investment: CMD

Hyderabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Telangana Transco Chairman and Managing Director (CMD)
D. Krishna Bhaskar on Monday informed that TG TRANSCO has prepared a Transmission Plan for the next 5 years with a total investment of Rs.18,354 crores to meet power demand driven by ambitious development projects, industrial expansion, and urbanization.
After hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day at Vidyut Soudha here, Bhaskar informed that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, TG Power utilities, achieved tremendous progress in the Generation, Transmission & Distribution Sectors during the last one and a half years.
By adopting the best practices and advanced technologies, TG Power Utilities has optimized the power procurement process and saved around Rs.1226 Crore for the period from December 2023 to May 2025, he said.
With the pro-active role played by the power sector, Telangana has become a leading investment destination in the country, he said.
On the occasion, the CMD appealed to all electricity employees to rededicate themselves to providing quality, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply to all categories of consumers.
