Telangana unveils AI avatar of IT Minister at DevFest 2026

Hyderabad, Oct 24 (UNI) Telangana's technology push received a boost with the unveiling of an artificial intelligence (AI) avatar of IT Minister D Sridhar Babu at DevFest 2026 here on Saturday, as more than 3,000 developers, students and technology professionals gathered for the annual conference.
The AI avatar, developed by TensorGo using its HumAIn platform under the guidance of State IT Advisor Sai Krishna, marked its first live on-stage launch at the event organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) Hyderabad at JRC Convention and Trade Fairs.
The AI Minister is designed to facilitate interaction with citizens using emerging AI technologies.
During the demonstration, the avatar answered questions from young participants in English and Telugu on Telangana's vision and technology-led growth.
The initiative is planned in phases, with the next phase envisaging wider citizen interaction, including opportunities to share feedback and submit grievances, according to the organisers.
Addressing the gathering through a keynote on "Innovation at Scale", Sridhar Babu said Telangana aimed to emerge as a global AI hub by placing young innovators at the centre of its technology journey.
The State had the talent and ambition to develop an ecosystem in which students, startups and young developers could transform ideas into solutions and take them to global markets, he said.
The conference, themed "Build, Secure, Scale: Developers and Builders in the Agentic Era", brought together more than 3,000 participants across four tracks covering artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud infrastructure, DevOps and mobile innovation.
More than 30 industry experts conducted hands-on sessions, while technology companies, including Google for Developers, Logitech, Lyric AI, MetLife and MSI, participated in industry engagement and recruitment activities.
The event also featured NFC-enabled smart badges to facilitate instant sharing of digital resumes with prospective employers and recruiters.
Aarshad Devani, lead for GDG Hyderabad, said the conference combined collaborative coding sessions, technology talks and recruitment opportunities, adding that the event reflected Telangana's growing role in technology development.
